As a professional dog groomer, one of the most common questions I get asked is: "Why does grooming cost more for some dogs than others?" The truth is, every dog is different—just like people! Some need a quick wash and brush, while others require detailed styling, de-matting, or extra care to keep them comfortable.

At Eden Beau, we don’t believe in a "one-price-fits-all" approach because your dog is unique, and so are their grooming needs.

What Affects the Cost of Grooming?

🐕 Size & Breed – A tiny Dachshund takes much less time to groom than a fluffy Golden Retriever. Larger dogs need more shampoo, drying time, and clipping.

🧴 Coat Type & Condition – Dogs with long or curly coats (like Cockapoos) require more brushing and styling than short-haired breeds. If a dog’s coat is heavily matted, it takes extra time and special care to remove tangles safely.

🛁 Services Needed – A simple bath and brush costs less than a full groom with a haircut, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and a spa treatment. Some dogs need hand-stripping, ultrasonic teeth cleaning, or special treatments for sensitive skin.

💙 Temperament & Handling – Every dog reacts differently to grooming. Some love the experience, while others may be anxious or wiggly, requiring extra patience and time.
